aGLIFF Membership for the 2008 season
Each and every aGLIFF member is truly a valued sponsor of the organization. The
fees from membership sales provide roughly 50% of the operating expenses
required to plan, promote and run the annual festival and year-long
activities. By purchasing a yearly membership at any level, you
are showing your support and helping to ensure that aGLIFF continues
to grow and prosper as an organization.
Please consider becoming a member, we need your help! Although
the festival does generate a good portion of revenue, it's not enough. As
a specialized festival, there are a variety of expenses that other
large festivals may not incur. For example, did you know that
we have to pay the distributors for nearly every film that we screen?
Some cost a few hundred dollars and others cost a few thousand…yes
that's right; one screening could cost several thousand dollars. At
the festival we rarely get freebies to screen at will. This is
why much of the ticket sales go towards paying for the films. In
addition, the planning and organizing of the festival are full time
jobs for several people. Although we have a tremendous volunteer
group and an all volunteer board of directors, there are key positions
that must be paid for by aGLIFF to ensure a terrific festival.
We value all of our members from students to seniors to philanthropists. As
a member each and every one of you becomes part of the aGLIFF organization
and benefits from some special incentives. All members, regardless

Your membership is good for one year from the time of purchase (1 Festival and entry into 1 Bloom Event) and provides you with benefits even after the festival.
