PRISM 37: aGLIFF’s Annual
LGBTQ+ Film Festival
August 21-25, 2024
We are expanding our footprint across the city this year by adding screening locations at the Violet Crown Cinemas on Sunday afternoon and moving our Closing Night film and reception to the Alamo Drafthouse Mueller location.
This also allows the festival to place films across a wider variety of theater sizes with the larger opening and closing night films and Centerpiece features at venues with the capacity to seat between 80-250 guests while also offering more intimate settings at KMFA's Draylen Mason Music Studio and Violet Crown Cinemas to give guests up-close-and-personal access to films and filmmakers. In addition to traditional weekend badges, special Galaxy and Violet Crown Passes will give the audience a variety of pricing options as well.

Whether you’re visiting Austin for aGLIFF’s PRISM 37 LGBTQ+ Film Festival or you just want to be close to all the action and filmmakers for the weekend - book a room at our host hotel located just down the road from AFS Cinema and the Galaxy Theatres Austin, and a short rideshare ride from our other venues.
Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at (512) 451-5757 or (888-300-6273). When calling; please refer to the group name of AGLIFF Consumer Block, group block code AGL. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card, first night deposit or to your direct bill account.
Reservations must be canceled by 4:00 PM, 24 hours before the day of arrival or the first night of the stay will be charged. Reservations must be made by close of business on Monday, August 5, 2024 to be elegible for the AGLFF Consumer Block rate.
*Offer valid for single or double occupancy rooms booked by no later than Monday, August 5, 2024, for stays occuring between Tuesday, August 20-Monday, August 26, 2024. Based on availability at the time of booking, restrictions may apply.

aGLIFF is encouraging fans to consider membership to support the organization’s year-round programming. Memberships include festival badges and an array of other perks depending on the level and range in price from $300 to $2500 and can be paid up front or in monthly installments.
Members will have first access to reserving tickets for individual films and events upon purchase.

OPENING NIGHT - wEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2024
Opening Night is back at AFS Cinema (6259 Middle Fiskville Road, 78752) including a Red Carpet affair beginning at 6:00 p.m. The opening night film will be followed by a reception with food and drink in the lobby.
queer BLACK VOICES DINNER & SCREENING FUNDRAISER - THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2024
Join us in the Draylen Mason Music Studio at KMFA Classical 89.5 (41 Navasota Street, 78702) in East Austin for a special evening celebrating our 2024 Queer Black Voices winning filmmakers and this year’s QBV Mentor. Proceeds raised at this event support our Queer Black Voices Fund.

Two days of screenings at the Galaxy Theatres Austin (6700 Middle Fiskville Road, 78752) will include our Centerpiece Narrative and Documentary films as well as other festival must-see screenings.

Catch festival screenings in the intimate theaters and comfortable seating at the Violet Crown Cinema (434 W 2nd Street, 78701), located in the 2nd Street District in Downtown Austin.
Closing Night - sunDAY, AUGUST 25, 2024
By popular demand, we’re back at the Alamo Drafthouse in 2024! We will close out this year’s festival at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Mueller (1911 Aldrich St #120, 78723). Meet us on the red carpet before the screening and join us for a celebratory cocktail in the Barrel O’ Fun Bar afterwards.

Weekend Badges: $125.00 + fees (Available August 1-25, 2024)
Weekend badges include entry to all festival screenings and events except for the Queer Black Voices Fundraiser. Badgeholders will recieve a code on their badge purchase receipt good for $25.00 off the Queer Black Voices event.
QUEER BLACK VOICES DINNER & SCREENING FUNDRAISER:
Table of Ten: $1,000.00 + fees (Available June 1, 2024)
General Admission: $100.00 + fees (Available June 1, 2024)
Badgeholder Discounted Ticket: $75.00 +fees (Available June 1, 2024)
This is a gala-style red carpet event that includes dinner and complimentary cocktails and beverages. The evening will consist of an opening cocktail reception, followed by the dinner and screening of this year’s QBV winning films and award presentations.
GALAXY PASS:
Galaxy Pass: $50.00 + fees (Available June 1-August 24, 2024)
Enjoy access to any of the films screening on Friday and Saturday at the Galaxy Theatres Austin. Grab your favorite movie snack and a cold beverage and sit back in the luxurious stadium-style seating at the Galaxy.
violet crown pass:
Violet Crown Pass: $25.00 + fees (Available June 1-August 25, 2024)
Make it a double or triple feature on Sunday afternoon in the intimate setting at the Violet Crown Cinema in downtown’s 2nd Street District. The Violet Crown has comfy stadium-style seating with a variety of food and beverage options as well as a cozy lounge to hang out in between films. They also validate parking in the adjacent parking garage.

Individual Film Tickets: $15.00-$30.00 + fees (Available August 1-25, 2024)
Individual film tickets are available based on availabilty beginning August 1, 2024. Regular screenings cost $15.00 + fees, specialty screenings (Opening Night, Closing NIght, etc.) go up to $30.00 per ticket and include adjacent receptions or parties with food and/or beverages.
