Trace Lysette Calls Out Unfunny Transphobe
In an inspiring contention, renowned trans actress Trace Lysette stormed TikTok with her razor-sharp reaction to Dave Chappelle's latest Netflix spectacle of Bigotry, The Dreamer. For an unexplainable third time, the Undercover Blues star swiftly plunged back into his notorious transphobia act to stir up his audience of collaborators - a tactic he dubs as "punching down."
“So, at this point, it’s giving client,” Lysette says in the video. “I don’t know what doll hurt Dave Chappelle. I really don’t. But it’s giving disgruntled client. It’s giving angry trick. It’s giving… He wanted to kiss on the mouth and she was like, ‘No, I don’t do that. I up-charge for that. If you wanna do that, you gotta give me X, Y, Z.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, no, ma’am,’ and his ego was bruised, honey. So you went on a rampage. It’s giving angry trick. Am I lying? Dolls, am I lying?”
In its streamer synopsis, The Dreamer is supposed to be about Chappelle’s early Hollywood journey. The narrative takes an unexpected turn as, only minutes in, he introduces his unique ‘comedic’ style, targeting vulnerable minority populations. Chappelle bluntly shares his perception of trans people, likening their real-life experiences to method acting. He then says he would only make three or four jokes at their expense, intending to dedicate the rest of his performance to jokes about the disabled.”They’re not as organized as the gays.”
Lysette has a point. Why is Chappelle so obsessed with trans people? As the Monica star finishes “Who goes on to make three specials, three comedy specials, about the dolls? Because you can’t take. Get him some help.”
