ABOUT THE EVENT
aGLIFF, Austin's LGBTQ+ Film Festival in partnership with The Paramount Theatre’s 50th Annual Summer Classic Film Series will present a Double Feature with two takes on modern relationships with the 2011 film WEEKEND at 7:00 p.m. and the 2023 film PASSAGES at 9:00 p.m.
Tickets get guests into both films, but you are also welcome to attend just one. Their will be a brief intermission between films.

Winner of Audience Awards at both SXSW and Outfest 2011, WEEKEND is a startingly authentic love story. After meeting one lonely Friday night at a bar, Russell (Tom Cullen) and Glen (Chris New) find themselves caught up in a lost weekend full of sex, drugs, and intimate conversation. Although they have conflicting ideas of what itis they want from life and certainly how to get it, they form a strtling emotional connection that will resonate throughout their lives.

Three lovers spin in a vortex of pent-up desire and resentment in Ira Sachs’ fresh, honest, and acerbically funny take on messy, modern relationships. Just like its dynamic leads - Franz Rogowski, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Ben Whishaw - this refreshingly fluid relationship drama simply oozes sex appeal.
This is a partnership screening as part of the 50th Annual Paramount Summer Classic Film Series. All sales are handled by the Paramount Theatre Box Office.
