At Camp fYrefly in rural Alberta, queer, non-binary, and trans teens get to be just kids in a supportive space, surrounded by counsellors who can relate to their experience – and help them toast the perfect marshmallow.

A chance encounter on a basketball court sparks an instant attraction between the Nuyorican barber and a handsome Irish stranger passing through town to settle his late father’s affairs. As this friendship blossoms, so do suspicions about the nature of their relationship, especially to the jealous eye of a childhood friend turned local bully.
